Dance Ecstasy

By Curlly

Curlly sat at her comm. station running Nabiki’s current mission. Curlly switched to the channel the driver was on. "Stuart, there is a parking lot .3 meters on the left. You can park the van there." Switching back to Nab, she said, "Nab, the van’s location for egress has changed. You’ll exit the building to the north and be on high ground going down to the grocery store. The Intel should have uploaded to your panel."

"Thanx Curlly. We are at second position. Any hostiles?" asked Nabiki.

"They are on the level above you. As long as you stay in your window you should be sheltered. But I have continual satellite feed, so I’ll let you know if the mission status changes." After checking a few sims, "Proceed to third mark."

One minute before Nabiki and her team were to exit the building Curlly noticed an anomaly at the van. "Stuart, why are you leaving the van?"

"I gotta take a leak."

"What!" shrieked Curlly. "The team will be back any second! Hold your position."

"Bite me lady. Gonna go piss up a wall." Then his line went dead.

"What’s going on Curlly," asked Michael with Operations standing next to him.

"Stuart left the van. And," said Curlly watching fresh Intel coming in, "The van has just been towed away by security." Curlly slid across the comm area on her chair over to Daine’s station. She handed her a disc and said, "Here is the van’s frequency. Find it and the options for civilian retrieval. I need location on Sherry and Michael’s team for possible pick up."

Sliding back over to her station she picked up her comm link with Nabiki. "Change of plans Nabiki. Have you been sighted?"

"No. We got out undetected."

"Great. Change in egress once again. I want the team to break up into 2’s. You and Kyle go east three blocks and then south 5 blocks to a cyber café. You’ll have to transmit the Intel from there. Have Brenna and Xavier start heading north and have them switch over to C channel."

Daine came over with the van’s location. "250 pounds to get it out. Here is the location." Curlly thanked Daine and went over to Michael. "The van is in lock down. It would take five hours to get the van open. We have enough money on site to retrieve the van out, but it is an older model so we could just initiate the self-destruct. Daine confirmed the intel she received from Nab so all we have to do is decide what is to be done with the van and pick up the team."

Michael looked down at her, "Walter will want to strip the van first. Have two operatives collect the van. Put Stuart in abeyance." Then with barely a nod Michael returned to his office.

"Curlly, you have a call," said Daine.

She picked up the comm. set her trainee handed her and said, "Curlly here."

"Gigi Luv! It took a bit a fast talking, but I got the favor you needed done."

"That’s perfect Mick. What day will it go down? And don’t call me Gigi." Mick gave her the specifics.

"Popsicle, when do I get my payoff?" Curlly checked her computer and told Mick, "It should arrive in the afternoon. I’m sure your little interior designer friend will luv it." Curlly wasn’t surprised Mick need some one with actual taste and style in his life.

"By the way Gigi Luv, I have some useful information for the one bloke your looking for." After taking down and filing the Intel Mick had given her she turned to Daine to find out mission status. Xavier and Bre had picked up van with minimum questioning. Daine had finished decoded Nab’s transmission and had just sent it off to data retrieval and verification.

"You’re a life saver Daine. Why don’t you head on home? I’ll finish up here." With a flash of a smile, Daine took off. She didn’t need to be told twice. Curlly was just finishing up an hour later when she saw Avi passing by. "Avi!" called out Curlly. Once Avi was in range Curlly tossed her a CD. "Thank you for letting me borrow your Great Divide album. It was," Avi barely smiled at the look on her friends face, "very nice."

"No problem Curlly. Any time you need your country music fix, just let me know." Curlly frowned. Avillion was enjoying this way too much. "Catch later Curlly," said Avi with a wave heading off to systems. About half an hour later Rita came by to remind Curlly to tell Avillion about her downtime.

Later that day

As Curlly walked into her apartment she saw a beautiful bouquet of bright orange and yellow flowers. They clashed horribly with the color scheme. So she put them on a table in the very center of the room. She wouldn’t want to hurt Sinjn’s feelings by moving them elsewhere. Ah, the sacrifices one makes for love. After changing into a nice wrap dress, Curlly headed up her spiral staircase to her study and slid open the door to the passageway leading to Avillion’s apartment. She knocked softly.

"Come in," called Avi. "What’s up Curlly?"

Flopping down onto the couch next to her friend she said, "Guess what? No never mind, that would take to long. Rita granted your request for some downtime. And because I’m such a wonderful friend, I arranged for Jack to get some at the same time!"

Avillion gave her friend a hug, "You’re the best Curlly!"

"But wait, that is not the best part, I got the two of you the chance to go to Ranch XTC, but you’ll have to go as help. They didn’t have any opening for guests, but you’ll get to use all the amenities. Do you want me to get you it?"

"You know I’ve always wanted to go there! But I will have to run things by Jack, of course."

"No problem. I hear that. I’m going out clubbing later. You two wanna come?"

"Maybe. But I thought Sinjn didn’t like the club scene?"

"He does not."

"Then how did you get him to go?"

"I didn’t."

"Curlly who are you going with then?"

"Just a friend. Well, I’ve got to go, call me if you want to join us," said Curlly as she got up and started up the secret passageway.

"Curlly, if you don’t stop right there and tell me, I’ll…"

Curlly paused on the stairs, "I’m going with Jason."

"Jason!" choked Avillion.

Curlly shrugged, "He can dance." Once Curlly got to her suite she burst out laughing at the look on her pal’s face. Wiping her eyes, she went into her dressing room and changed into an outfit she had already selected, and she had just finished her hair when her phone rang. "Hello?"

"Curlly, I really need to know if your two friends are interested in working up here for the week. What’s the verdict."

"I told you I would call you tomorrow. I’ll know by then. I would say that their attributes are worth the wait, wouldn’t you?"

"Fine. But I want their answer by 10:00am. Bye."

"Bye." After turning off the phone Curlly shook her head. The phone rang again. "Hello?"

"Jack and I would love to accept your offer to go to Ranch XTC, but I think we’ll stay in tonight," said Avillion.

"Okay kewl. I’ll make all the arrangement. Sure you don’t wanna go dancing?"

"Nah, I wouldn’t want to interrupt your date."

"It is not a date!" protested Curlly but Avi had already hung up the phone. "Oh blast!"

Several days later

Curlly had chartered a private plane to take and pick up Jack and Avillion from the remote island where the world class ranch, Ranch XTC was located. A rather overblown woman named Lucy met them at the airstrip. She showed them around the immaculate grounds and pointed out where the employees slept. As she flung the doors to the huge main barn, which was not for horses, the place just reeked of S&M. Avi gasped and Jacked whipped out his cell phone.

Lucy pulled two outfits down from a nearby, well Avi refused to acknowledge wheat it was, and tossed one to each of them. Jack’s was a form fitting pants with tight silver, short sleeve spandex shirt. Avi’s was, well, hardly there to speak of. "Welcome to Ranch Ecstasy Luvs," said Lucy flinging her arms out to include the whole island.

Both Jack and Avillion picked up the difference of pronunciation of XTC and Ecstasy. "I’m gonna kill Curlly," murmured Avillion. Jack said, "My cell phone doesn’t work."

"There has been some kind of mistake," started Avi.

"Look Luvs, either you’re here to work, or get your butts off my island."

Avi pulled out her cell phone and dialed North’s number. What she got was a recording. "Hi Avi! Hope you have fun at the ranch! I fixed both your and Jack’s phones, just like you fixed the lie detector machine. I spent a whole 30 minutes wondering if I really did like country.

"Sinjn, seeing my distress went and took it all apart and found out your clever little scheme. Tell Jack I’m truly sorry about this, but it had to be. There are no more flights off the island until your pick up. But like I said," paused Curlly to laugh, "you get to use all the facilities."

"My phone won’t work either," Avi told Jack. "Do you have a phone we could use? We would of course pay the fee," asked Jack.

"Only employees use the phone and right now it’s not connected. So are you working or leaving."

Jack and Avi looked at one another. "Working."

"Good, Jack," Lucy said admiring his manly form, "you would have made a stunning dancer, but I no longer need one, so you’ll be a bouncer. And you Avillion, you’ll be one of the dancers on the floor."

Later the next night Avi stood on stage with the other girls waiting for the music to start. She was going to do worse than kill Curlly. Just as she saw the stage lights start to come one, she saw a familiar face in the crowd, shouting, "Bird Luv, work that groove thing!" It was Mick, and he had a camera. She would do worse than kill Curlly.

Back at CLHQ

Curlly, DragonLady, and Rita were doing manicures and pedicures while watching a nice fluffy movie in Rita’s apartment. Curlly was just putting a finishing coat on her toes when her phone emitted a series of beeps.

"What does that mean Curlly?" asked DL. For Curlly hadn’t even picked up her phone.

"Oh it just means Avi is doing a little dancing." Curlly smiled inwardly. Revenge is sweet.
