Part Five
Everyone was standing around and talking about the performances they had just seen and agreed that everyone was doing a wonderful job. They were still chuckling over Curlly's song and they wondered what else was coming up in this show of shows. Everyone was having a wonderful time.
Carlo went out to center stage and once he had everyone's attention he spoke, "Good, now that you have refreshed yourselves, let's all take our seats and we shall begin once again." He waited until they had found their places and went on to introduce the next act. "It is my pleasure to introduce my lovely friend Rita. Ahhh don't you just love romance, rivalries, lost loves? We started off this evening with Sherry and now we begin the second half of the evening with her most ardent rival. Take it away Rita!!!"
Rita came out on stage, hair all mussed up, and mascara smeared around her eyes, boxes of tissues in hand and dressed in a pair of old flannel pajamas. Trying hard not to laugh she started to sing…
After loudly pretending to blow her nose she ambled off stage where she immediately broke out in laughter. 'Ohhh' she thought to herself, 'am I ever going to get back at the ones who decided on who did what.' Heading towards the bathroom to clean up and get changed she ran into Nabiki.
"Rita that was wonderful. You really outdid yourself out there."
"Go away." Rita mumbled. "I'm not talking to you or Andrea or North right now. But don't worry… I'll get you guys back for this." Nabiki just laughed as she watched Rita stalk away. She made her way to where North and Andrea were to let them know what had just transpired with Rita. Not that she was really worried but nonetheless she had to at least mention it to them.
Carlo once again took to the microphone to announce the next act. "Well folks, this next performance will break your hearts as we have 'Michael' singing his heart out to his lovely 'Nikita'. Please give a hand to Roy and Peta!!"
As others quickly came on stage to set it up the two of them came walking out onto the stage, dressed as their characters… mission black. Peta walked over to a replica of her living room and sat on the couch and Roy took up his stance by a window that had been set up. In his hands… a bouquet of flowers. He started to sing…
Sure enough when the song ended everyone was silent as they thought about the words that had just been sung. It was perfect for what had transpired between the characters over the years. As Roy and Peta came to take their bows the audience clapped and whistled as he gathered her in his arms and kissed her.
Part Six
As they went to leave the stage, Carlo called Roy back. "Sorry old chum but you're needed for this next act seeing as you are dressed up as 'Michael'. Roy shrugged and turned around and came back to stand with Carlo as the stagehands came out and changed the props. In place of the couch came a mock up boat complete with oars… He watched with interest as Deiket, Nikita Fire, Brenna, Cindy and Stacey walked out onto the stage dressed in sailor outfits. Brenna came over took Roy by the hand and led him to sit in the 'boat' as the others took their places behind.
By the end of the song everyone had joined in to make it a true group effort. After ushering everyone off the stage and having the props changed Matthew made his way on stage and over to the bed that had taken the place of the boat. Without further ado he started into his song…
As the last part of the song was being sung, Peta in her Abby persona came on stage, grabbed Matthew and pretended to rip off his clothes which got everyone up out of their seats and cheering them on. Meanwhile, Don came out and yelled 'CUT' which caused another outburst of cheers as he told the two on stage that it just didn't do and that they would have to do the scene over again. Peta and Matthew, who by now had gotten over his initial embarrassment, complied with his direction. Don then ended up going over and pulling the two of them apart as they kept up with the scene. Dragging a reluctant Matthew away he just looked at the audience and shrugged with a sly smile on his face.
Next up was Peta. There was a suitcase set on the bed with clothes dangling out. Walking over to a door that had been set on stage she turned to the audience.
"Let's hear it for Peta folks!" Carlo said as he once more came onto the stage. "Now I do believe we have one more performance for you all and it will be done by none other than the ever talented Don Francks!"
