Preface: by Northstar: One day Rita and I were talking in chat and she came up with this idea to go through and re-watch the episodes (Oh I know… a real sacrifice!! Hehehe) and make a list of the different kind of saves that happened in each episode. We have them listed below but I am sure that they will be added to! Well… on the following pages you will see her accounting for each episode. We are starting out with Season One and will go forward from there. I also have a message board set up so that you can make your own comments as to whether or not you agree with her POV! You will find the link to the board on all the pages.

Mission Save: The most common and typical line of duty save. The operative is there and shoots the baddie or the SOTW with no extra effort required.

Elaborate Mission Save: Breaking position, going against protocol in a mission in order to save a fellow Operative or innocent. Something that the powers that be will be berating the operative for later.

Twisting the Mission Profile Save: While undercover bending the mission parameters to better suit a fellow operative or innocent.

Section Politics Save: When dealing with the upper management of Section lying, deceiving, misleading, covering in order to protect a fellow operative or innocent. This also includes providing another means for the upper management to achieve their objective that does not endanger the fellow operative. Michael has his doctorate in this type of save.

Emotional Save: Trying to protect a fellow operative from knowledge that would cause them emotional pain. This is a Walter specialty.

Section Wake Up Call Attempt: Sometimes operatives need to be reminded that their life is not their own anymore and that what they are doing goes against Section policy, protocol and mission parameters.

Love Save: When the operative changes the way they think, does something contrary to character or violates Section policy for the love of a fellow operative.

Soul Save: Trying to preserve, reach, or protect the soul of an Operative when life in Section hits the Operative.

Section Logic Save: When attempting to explain Section’s twisted view on how things should proceed and why they work in that fashion in order to help the Operative.
