Made In Canada:

TV Series : 1/2 hour episodes

Every sector has them - the hellishly smart, repulsive-but-charming guys whose ladder to the top is built on the mutilated careers of their competitors. Every sector has them - but it is the film and television industry that has the very best of these bad guys.

Made in Canada is a satirical look down the corridors and into the offices of Pyramid Productions, a fictional, publicly traded entertainment company. Rick Mercer (This Hour Has 22 Minutes) stars as Richard Strong, a lowly script reader whose grasp of Machiavelli's principles is princely. From his inconsequential position, Richard manoeuvres himself and outmanoeuvres his opponents until the smart young man becomes head of television at Pyramid.

Strong's boss is Alan Roy (The Newsroom's Peter Keleghan), whose lack of passion for Canadian culture is equaled only by his love for women. His assistant is Veronica Miller (More Tears' Leah Pinsent), the hardest working employee at Pyramid, although she two has an ace up her sleeve.

Made in Canada unmercifully satirizes the corporate side of show business, poking fun at TV company executives, their shows and sometimes the crews working on them. "We bite the hand that feeds us; it's a composite of everyone we have had the pleasure of working with and seeing rise to power throughout the years" admits Gerald Lunz (producer of This Hour Has 22 Minutes
