DREAMSCAPES.....

Walking through the double swinging doors, she gazed up and down the long, narrow hallway. The sterile antiseptic laiden atmosphere assaulted her senses in full force, and it took her a moment to regain her composure. She was still a little unsure about her being here, and exactly what she had hoped to find.

Walking up to the admitting desk, she was greeted by the expressionless face of the receptionist. 'Can I help you?' the receptionist said in short, clipped tones. She smiled back at the receptionist, her warmest and friendliest smile. It had little to no affect.

'I have an eight o'clock appointment for dream analysis with Dr. Payne,' she answered. The receptionists fingers played rapidly across her keyboard, and then looking back up from her monitor, abruptly handed her a clipboard. On the clipboard was the standard medical forms, all of which the receptionist reminded her had to be filled out in triplicate.

As she took the clipboard from the receptionist, and turned to walk away, the receptionist cleared her throat. 'You may want to take a look at this while your at it,' the receptionist said. She handed her a small pamphlet, then returned to her computer work.

She took the pamphlet, and clipboard, and took a seat in a very typical, uncomfortable, drab green waiting room chair. As she finished filling out the medical forms, and placed the clipboard in the seat beside her, she opened the pamphlet, and skimmed the pages.
