Hello Everyone!!

Well I am back home again after a fun filled exhausting weekend!!!! It was an absolute blast at the con. I met a lot of my online friends and made some new ones.

Oh where do I start???

Opening Ceremonies were held Friday afternoon where all the con committee members were introduced to all the attendees. Considering that the bulk of this con was sorted out and arranged via email and phone calls they all did a wonderful job. Even with the glitches that came up.

After getting settled in my room and getting unpacked I made my way downstairs to get registered. The first attendees I ran into were Sage, Gap Girl and Adriana, all of the Birkoff Babes list. It was nice to run into someone I had chatted with!!! I believe Adriana was the youngest attendee (that is registerd on any list) Had a lot of fun getting to know them. I invited them to my room to share in some cheesecake that I had made!!! YUM YUM!!

After that we went back downstairs where I met Rita/Tasamin!! OMG she is exactly as she seems on the list!! A riot a minute with Rita!!! She was staying at a friends place, Cindy aka Sophie_Dupuis!!, in Hamilton so Curlly and I let them use our room as a stopping off place for the weekend.

There was a room where they were showing all the different episodes of Nikita and it was a first come first serve request type of deal. I think they showed Nikita about 4 times as there were many that had never seen the first episode. The one I watched again was I Remember Paris.

They also had a reading room set up where selected pieces of fanfic were available for our reading pleasure.

I met some more members of our lists during the day. I am sorry to say that I did not get to meet all of them that went. The schedule was running behind so I couldn't find a convenient time to get all of us together . I'm sorry if I missed meeting you. I did get to meet Andrea, JoJoBlue, FiredUp, Rita, Curlly (my roomie!!) Kit, Gabie, Sage, Alicia, Wendy(WAR), Jade, Velvet, Minuet, and a lot of others not on our list!!! What a nice feeling it was to put a face to a name only seen on emails!! Hey guys hope you all make it home in one piece and not too tired!!!! LOL

Happy but exhausted!!!

Con Debrief #2 (Sat)

WEll Curlly arrived just after 11 on Friday night and we spent a few hours getting to know each other. Ending up turning the lights off after 2am!!!

Sat morning we both got up and made our way downstairs. There were different rooms set up for the fan panels. Fanfic was one and Trivia was another. I just peaked into those ones. We went to the first activity which was watching the blooper reel from this past season!!! WE were definitely kept in stitches watching this!!! At the end of the tape we saw Matthew fooling around with 'Hillinger' where he attempted to give him a kiss!!! BUT Chris/hillinger was a bit too quick for him!! LOL HIs answer later on during his Q&A when asked why he did that he answered, "He was just so darn cute!!" LOL And he said he was shy??!!?? No way!! I would definitely say he is coming out of his shell!!! And we heard Roy curse!! but OMG did it sound absolutely wicked coming out of his mouth!!! THUD

After the blooper reel we had Chris Heyn come up and talk to us and also show us a reel of footage that had been cut from the episodes of Season 3. Even had a few actor changes in some. In fact the George we saw was different from the one that was originally chosen. It was wonderful to see some behind the scenes activities.

They also had a dealer room set up where pictures and other LFN related items were up for sale. I only picked up a few pics though. Basically they were the publicity stills that can be found at either the USA site or the WB site.

After a few problems and some delays we were finally able to purchase the official LFN merchandise. HOWEVER, because of limited numbers we were only allowed to purchase one of each item. It took a long time for the line up to go thru!!! I think it took almost 2 and a half hours for everyone to get in and purchase. The keychains were not available but they took our names and money and will send out when they arrive.

OKAY ON TO THE CELEBS!!!!

All I can say is WOW!!! Walter/Don, Birkoff/Matthew, Mick/Carlo were an absolute riot!!!! With Carlo, what you see is what you get!! When asked of any differences between him and his character, he answered, "I am proud to announce that there are no disimilarities between Mick and myself." He is so much more handsome in person than he appears on the show. He was so overwhelmed with the response he received by the audience. He was absolutely wonderful with any of the fans he came in contact with.

When Matthew answered the same question he answered that he himself is computer illiterate although he just got himself a laptop computer, they are both shy and they are both the same height and weight. This brought laughter from the audience. When he was asked what he would say to Michael he responded with this: "She doesn't love you anymore." AND to the question of his fave scene he answered the scene in CAT AND MOUSE where he made love to Abby/Nikita!! and when asked why this one?? "Because of the retakes!!!" And here he said he was shy!!! Actually it was quite funny because every time he responded with a not so shy answer, Don high fived him and said, "That's my boy!!"

Don!!! My goodness what a powerhouse!!! This man does not have an off switch!! Very down to earth, a man who speaks his mind and a great sense of humour!!! When he was asked about the biggest difference between himself and his character he treated us to a wonderful song about a playboy!! LOL He does have a wonderful voice!! I am so in awe of meeting all three of these men. I did manage to buy his CD which they had there in support of 'Books for Ears' which is Alberta's newest project.

One thing he did do that had all the girls sigh was to take off his jacket!! ::SIGH:: Talk about buff!!! and the tattoos!!! ooh la la!! He was introduced to his #1 Wench who he didn't hesitate to hug and dance and last but not least KISS!!! and oh man what a kiss. The audience was wondering if any tongue was being exchanged!!! Needless to say he recieved a standing ovation over that!!

They also had the silent auction on Saturday where Rita was successful in obtaining two items personally autographed by Roy!!! ONe was the movie J'en Suis and the other was a Gus Gus CD and she also got a video that had Birkoff in it. It too was signed by Birkoff. I think it was Love and Human Remains??? Rita you'll have to correct me if I am wrong!!

This was the last panel done for the day. Next up is the Black Dress Dinner!!
